Ol Malo is one of the original Bush Homes of East Africa. One of the few pioneers remaining of homestay-tourism, family-run and operated since 1992, our home is testament to a deep-rooted love of the land, where adventure and comfort go hand in hand.

The Lodge is laid out like a tiered cliffside cottages: a central sitting and dining room area at the top, with winding paths leading down to private, widely spaced cottages, all oriented toward sweeping wilderness views. Each room offers breathtaking views over the Laikipia Plateau, with open-plan designs that create a strong connection to nature; large windows, and private verandas, allow guests to soak in the stunning surroundings.

Ol Malo House is arranged like a private hillside home, with a warm central living space at its heart and a constellation of secluded rooms and cottages branching outward, all connected by winding paths and open to the vast Laikipia landscape.

It’s particularly well suited for Exclusive families or groups of friends traveling together, as well as multi-generational groups, offering shared spaces to gather alongside plenty of privacy. For non-exclusive bookings or families with adult children it can also be taken in individual room combinations, with enough separation to feel completely private while sharing the wider experience.
